Tech tips:
Be very wary of replacing your tie rod with an aftermarket oversize or thicker tube part, this part is designed to be the “weak point” in your steering linkage and acts as a mechanical fuse.
In the event of a very heavy blow or its design parameters are exceeded this part gives way/buckles so as to not break or irreversibly bend the steering arm that bolts to the left or right steering knuckle assemblies.
