Torque tube ball cup, axle side U1300, OE.

Thrust tube / torque tube ball cup, axle side for torque tube.
This is for the polymer ball cup on the axle drive shaft tube located on the tube side.

As per item number 38 on the attached exploded parts diagram.

Note: Gearbox side of the cup set up sold separately.
Suitable for the U1300L and others light axle variants

Tech Tips:
1) The axle variant may be found on the identification plate located next to or on the differential housing.
An example ID plate is attached for your reference, alternately the axle variant may be located via a VIN number decoder
2) Ensure the thrust tube ball is clean and smooth before fitting a replacement cup set.
Use some 1200 grit wet & dry emery paper with a suitable light grade lubricant to remove high spots and surface rust as needed.
In some instances you may need to start with a coarser grade abrasive such as 800 grit to remove corrosion.
Do not use powered tools or very coarse abrasives (less than 800 grit) as damage to the ball surface may occur.
Use liberal amounts of LMM grease (molybdenum disulphide) to lubricate the joint prior to reassembly.
